D50 5000K T8 LED Tube Lights for Color Matching (ISO3664:2000)

Bright, quiet and color rich
I have now installed 16 Waveform color matching tubes in my 16-foot light array for my print viewing wall. I was using Chroma 50 bulbs for the last 40 years because that was the best option until now. I removed the ballasts and wired them at one end. The results compared to the GE Chroma 50 bulbs in the same fixture is that the Waveform tubes output approximately 50 % more light measured at the wall with a Minolta digital incident exposure meter (0.5 EV greater). This is even though the rated lumens of the LED bulbs is 1800 and the Chroma 50 bulbs is 2250. The color appears a little cooler, but was obvious only after I replaced the bulbs on the left side of the array and compared the light on the wall to the right side. This was a pleasant surprise and I am happy with the setup. Michael"
