SUPERWARM™ 1700K Flicker-Free A19 10W LED Bulb

★★★★

Pretty Good

I love the spectrum of this bulb. It's perfect for evening relaxing, its very much like an old incandescent bulb in a beige enclosure. Someone else posted and compared it to 70s mood lighting and I would concur with that as being an accurate description. It looks and feels "old" all while being "new", which is a vibe I love (and the power savings). This is the only product on the market that hits this spectrum just right. 2000k-2400k bulbs from other vendors don't come close and the hideous ugly monocolor amber/yellow bug lights are awfu (as indicated by their CRI). That being said for a 9W LED, when compared to other high-end offerings like the Norb bulbs or even Philips Ultra HD, its mass is rather low. Part of this is probably why this description indicates you shouldnt put it in an enclosed fixture - it doesn't have enough heat sinking? Similarly, it seems an odd design choice to make a super warm bulb like this and not offer it as a dimmable bulb. So we're stuck with either using the Lux24 or a competitors offering and getting stuck with a spectrum we don't really like. If this were any other bulb, I wouldn't care. But this single bulb costs as much as 4 or 6 "normal" bulbs. When GE and Philips have 90+ CRI bulbs for that pricing its a hard sell on this bulb for me. I did buy 6 and I'm not going to return them or anything, but I probably will replace them when a similar, but dimmable, bulb is available."
