Great 365nm light strip
I purchased the 1m, 365nm strip to test out for a home theater star ceiling project, where I am using a mix of fibers and glow paint. After using a "UV" floodlight from Amazon and getting mixed results, I decided to upgrade to the waveform lighting product. It was night and day ... now the glow paints are really reacting to the lights, and they hold a charge for a long time afterwards. Plus, these 365nm strips only output a little visible light; an acceptable amount for me, since I have a flat black background. Pros: seems to be true 365nm light; glow-in-the-dark UV paints and pigments/powders really shine. Very little visible light, but there is some ... once I get a dimmer in the mix this should be better. Good power output for a 1m length, this is more than I got from a purported 60W UV floodlight. Cons: runs hot (I will try using a dimmer, which may help). fragile: after testing out a bit and twisting a little, some of the LED's have stopped working, only 4 or 6 out of the strip. I think this can be addressed by mounting to an extruded aluminum track, which is what I plan to do for the permanent install. One personal con: I wish these also came in 24v strips, the rest of my lighting is 24v, and I don't like having to keep track of which adapter I need for which strip."
